Oak Bottom Campground is a great place to stop during your travels. We offer Asphalt RV Spaces in a designated area near our overflow boat parking. Pet-friendly. Potable water and free pump-out available for our registered guests. NO HOOKUPS!

How to Book and Add to Cart

When making a reservation, please note that if you wish to reserve multiple RV Spaces, you will need to book each space separately. It is not possible to add more than one site to your Shopping Cart at a time.

A Camping Permit must be visibly displayed in your vehicle at all times. Overflow parking is available in the boat launch parking area.

RV Spaces

We offer Asphalt RV Spaces in a designated area near the overflow boat parking. Please note, there are NO HOOKUPS.

Maximum Length 33’ (includes vehicle).
RVs only–tents and sleeping in vehicles are not permitted.

Pets

We love pets! However, pets must be kept on a leash at all times. While pets are welcome at Whiskeytown National Park, please be aware that dogs are not allowed at Oak Bottom Beach. There are signs at both the parking lot and the beach entrance to notify visitors. Dogs are also not permitted in the Oak Bottom Beach and Picnic Area.

At Oak Bottom, your dog is welcome to enjoy other areas, such as the campsites, DitchTrail, and the area near the marina. Please be responsible and ensure pets are kept on a leash and off the beaches.

Generators

If you plan to bring a generator, it must not disturb neighboring campers and should operate at a maximum of 60 decibels. Generators are allowed until 10 PM at our RV Spaces.

Campfires

Campfires must be contained within a fire pit at all times. Please note, our RV Spaces do not have fire pits, so you will need to bring your own.

Restrooms/Showers

Clean restrooms are available nearby. Oak Bottom Beach offers coin-operated showers that accept quarters. You can purchase rolled quarters at both the Campground Store and Oak Bottom Beach Store.

Dump Station

We offer a free pump-out service for our registered guests. To access the dump station, please visit our camp store and request the dump station key from our clerk. Be sure to return the key once you are finished.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM. During this time, loud voices, music, or parties are not allowed. Violators may be evicted.

Please keep noise and music at a level that does not disturb other campers and families. Marijuana use is prohibited at Whiskeytown National Park. Bringing or using marijuana in the park can lead to eviction, and no refunds will be issued.

Other Features

Picnic tables- Each site is equipped with a picnic table.

Potable water- Potable water is available at our campground.

Camp Store- Our nearby Camp Store sells food, drinks, ice, merchandise, and more.

Amphitheater- During our season, we host movie showings every Saturday night at our amphitheater for campers.

Tent Sites/Marina- In addition to RV Spaces, we offer tent camping at our designated tent sites. Campers can also rent boats, kayaks, and paddleboards at our marina.

RV Space Policies

TENT CAMPING IN RV SPACE is prohibited ~ RECREATIONAL VEHICLES ONLY

Hey there! Just a heads-up that you'll be entering a National Park, which means you'll need an entrance pass. Don't worry, you can grab one at our campground store when you check in. Unfortunately, One Day Passes are not available at Whiskeytown Recreational Area.

We have the Annual Park Pass for $55 and a Weekly Pass for $25 available at our Campground Store.

Need a different pass? Head over to the Whiskeytown Visitor Center.

Access and Senior Pass Holders are eligble for 50% off one site that they are occupying.
If your booking is made for more than one site, only one site is eligble for the discount.
If you make more than one booking in the week and you are not occupying the site, the discount will not be applied.

Help Keep the peace : Daytime noise should not be a disturbance to neighboring campers.

Music level should be a level within your site not to disturb other campers.

This is a drug free park - this includes Marijuana and paraphernalia. Please leave these items at home, this is a Federal Park and is prohibited and will not be tolerated.

Campground Rules for Popular Oak Bottom Campground

Check-in time is at 2:00 pm and check-out is at 12pm.

Late Check out

If you do not check out by the designated check out time, there will be another night charged to the card on account automatically. Please note if you are not present at your site and another camper is due in, your belongings will be packed up and brought to the maintenance shop for pick up.

Maximum one vehicle may park in the tent campground parking lot. Any extra vehicles must park in the overflow boat parking area. Must obtain an Overflow Tag for extra vehicles. This is not an Entrance Pass or a Camping Permit.

All vehicles, including motorcycles and trailers, are prohibited at the tent sites and trails. Use designated parking spaces and the overflow parking area.

Anyone under the age of 18 years will not be issued a campsite unless a guardian is always present.

Park quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. No generators may be used during this time. Generators in Tent Camping areas cannot run past 8pm. Other noises, such as loud voices or music are also prohibited after 10 pm. Violators are subjected to eviction.

There are no refunds if evicted.

Alcohol and smoking are allowed at your campsite but are not permitted on the swim beach or picnic area. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly.

Pets must be always kept in a kennel or on a leash no more than six feet in length. Unattended pets are subject to impoundment and the owners may be issued a notice of violation. Dispose of pet waste in trash cans. Dogs are not allowed at the designated swim beach. Shower or picnic areas. Pets can enjoy a swim or walk at the Ditch Trail or other shoreline access.

All food, pet food, beverage containers, cosmetics, toiletries, cooking utensils, dishes, and other items with food odor must be locked inside the bear-proof storage locker or vehicle unless they are in immediate use. Whiskeytown is BEAR COUNTRY. Bears that get human food sometimes become aggressive and dangerous and must be killed. You can prevent this by proper food storage. Citations: $150 for improper food storage; $250 for feeding wildlife

Cancellation Policy - We understand circumstances change. Please see below how we can assist you with your cancellation request.

We are open 365 days a year, there are no refunds for inclement weather. At times we may have to cancel your booking for unforeseen circumstances, in that case we will contact you, cancel and refund your booking. This is rare, but can happen.

Two-day cancellation:
A cancellation at least two days before the check in date; you are entitled to a full refund MINUS A $10.00 CANCELLATION FEE PER CAMP SITE.

Same day cancellation:

There are NO REFUNDS for No Shows or Same Day Cancellations

You will be considered a no-show if you have not occupied your site, or we do not hear from you by noon the day after your scheduled time to arrive. If you are a no-show, you forfeit your sites; a refund will not be
issued.
**IMPORTANT**
Booking Changes: There is a Fee per site, for any changes made to your reservation(s). If you make a change, delete a site, change a site, change a date, or any other changes to your reservation there is a $10 charge per site.
